Harvey Oaks Jeweler Celebrates 75 Years in Business with Chamber Ribbon Cutting
The Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 12 at 9:30 AM to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Harvey Oaks Jeweler, located at 134 S. Front Street, Fremont.
Established in 1950 by World War II veteran Harvey Oaks, the business has grown from a small second-floor shop into one of Fremont’s most trusted names in fine jewelry. Originally offering watches, electric razors, and radios, the store gradually evolved into a full-service jeweler known for quality, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer care.
Over the years, key milestones included the addition of longtime partners Gerald Gonya and Jim Parkhurst in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Today, the legacy continues under the ownership of Aaron Gonya, who represents the next generation of leadership. Aaron remains dedicated to the principles that have defined the business for decades—education, transparency, and personal service.
Harvey Oaks Jeweler continues to serve multi-generational families, with many customers returning due to longstanding relationships and referrals. The team takes pride in helping each customer make informed decisions when selecting meaningful pieces to mark life’s most important milestones.
With 75 years of history and a strong foundation for the future, Harvey Oaks Jeweler remains a shining example of longevity, integrity, and community commitment.
The Chamber invites the community to join the celebration and recognize this exceptional achievement.
